so this weekend i got fish for my tank :D it looks totally wicked now! i tried to take pics of them but the pics just came out ugly and it doesn’t give it justice. maybe i need a much better camera i don’t know but the pics are not even worth posting.

those of you who know me, why not come and have a cup of coffee or something and come check it out…hehe

anyhoo, you are all wondering what fish i got. some of the fish i got should not really be combined with other fish but i took the chance and so far i have not seen any problems yet. if any does occur i have a smaller tank (naughty tank) where they can make their new home.

saturday morning i went to the petshop and had a look at what they got. the guy there was a bit rude and they were getting new stock in a bit later but with my excitement i could not wait. so i decided to get the following to start of with:

1 plecostomus, 1 bala shark, 1 siamese fighter, 2 tiger barbs, 3 neon tetras ( i had 4 but 1 died. not sure what happened, he did seem a bit odd when i put him in the tank, wonder if he was like that at the petshop :( )

plecostomus

bala shark

siamese fighter

2 tiger barbs

3 neon tetras

sunday morning fed the fish and all of them seemed doing very well! which is a good sign to survive their first day! anyhoo, i went back to the petshop for some more fish. apparently, you’re supposed to add fish in little by little. i ignored that rule and decided to get some more fish as the tank looked a bit bare.

4, glowlights, 2 black widows and 2 coloured widows.

4 x glowlight tetras

2 black widows

2 Coloured Widows (blue and a green)

as you can see some of the fish are aggressive fish but hopefully they can all just live and deal with each other…i made sure they all small fish so they all basically the same size. it will be good exercise for some of them if they get chased! just kidding. if they do cause any issues then i’ll just move them. will just watch out for tail nipping and that.

my favourite  at the moment is the siamese fighter. a little explorer of note! in between rocks, through small gaps in the wooden log, etc. not too sure what is up with the bala shark though. kind of a shy one! hardly comes out in the open unless it’s feeding time!

so yeah, that’s that for the fish tank project! i’ll keep you guys updated on the fish tank every now and then if anything exciting happens or if i add any new fish ( which i prolly won’t as i have enough already). maybe some bottom dwelling fish……hmmmm
