we were not quiet sure where we were going to go to but decided to go the wellington way and around to tulbagh, through ceres and back home on the N1. snapped a few pics on the way…

then we came across this awesome fog cloud that stretched for a couple of kilometers…

went first to tulbagh and saw snow on the mountains

went to Ceres and had a Wimpy brunch and headed onwards to the N1 and saw some more snow…

so yeah, no snow on the ground unless we headed sunderland way but unfortunately was not in the mood to drive anymore as we already did 400km for the day.

maybe next year we will have a roadtrip sunderland way but then stay over somewhere.

being the good husband i am (so i would think), i phoned her up on the way home and asked her what she would like for supper. picked up some KFC on the way home and we enjoyed some time together watching Lost and Fringe (as this week we didn’t see much of each other because of working late). after that i finally got to play my new game!

one thing i love about the Alan Wake package is that it looks like a book. Alan Wake being a writer just made it even more awesome! with the special edition i got a t-shirt and still waiting for my penlight torch. all in all this psychological action thriller is by far the best game i have played in a while. i will do a full on review once i have finished the game.

saturday only got out of bed just before 11 and had to do some washing and dishes! also managed to do some website developing and some changes while watching the Chelsea VS Portsmouth game. the highlight of the weekend was Mel and I taking a drive out to Houtbay and enjoy some pizza at Massimo’s Pizza Club. Mel did an awesome little review here. got home and played some more Alan Wake till just before 1am.

sunday woke up just after 10ish and did some more website stuff and Mel needed my PC for a bit so I decided to play a chapter of Alan Wake till we had to go to Mel gran’s for afternoon tea.  afterwards had to go get some groceries from the shop and also decided that burgers were a good choice for supper! got home and did some MORE webstuff. made some burgers while watching England bear Australia YAY! we ate supper while watching season finale of Supernatural and also watch Flash Forward. strangely enough i never played any Alan Wake the evening and just continued with some web stuff while watching season finale of Smallville and also Stargate Universe. wonder what i will do next week when almost everything is coming to an end. pondering on watching Stargate SG1 from beginning again or watching all the Star Treks (I have not even watched) (YES, i know. i shouldn’t say shit like that)

it was a good weekend and hope this week ain’t like last week where i got home very late 3 times due to people at work not doing their jobs properly.

saturday went to get a scale so i can monitor my #lose10kg with a buddy of mine in 20 weeks. the evening headed out to a friend’s birthday “pub crawling”. we first headed out of babushkas in durbanville and watched the final few minutes of the rugby and had a couple of drinks there and talking and talking, drinking a few more. the girls wants to go dance so decided to head to stones (sigh). the bouncer would not let us in because my friend’s husband’s WIFE did not have her id on her at the time. can you believe it? we basically said a big F U to the bouncer and decided to go to blizzard just down the road. the girls had alotta fun there dancing and just going nuts. the guys just sat around the table drinking and talking a bunch of shit. couple of hours later we headed off to starlite diner. before we went there i was hungry as hell but as soon as i ordered my food, i was too tired to eat and decided i’d have it for lunch. by this time it was already 4:30am.

sunday wokeup at 1pm and got ready to go meet up with some friends and see just jinjer at kirstenbosch. it was by far one of the most awesome concerts i have been to. atmosphere was awesome, the performance was epic and Ard was just his usual self. haha. you should have been there to have seen it. afterwards went through to houtbay and go grab some pizza at Massimo’s Pizza Club. it was a very nice vibe and the pizza was good!

my camera’s batteries were flat most of the weekend and managed to get batteries of last night. check out some of the pics from the just jinger concert.
